Michele Warren is an Associate Director and has been with the LGC since 1990. She is responsible for the planning and production of all major conferences, as well as the management of numerous statewide and national projects that include conference, workshops, seminars and other special events. In her role at the LGC, she directs other LGC staff as well as several subcontractors and consultants, and manages multi-year projects that include several different funding sources. She also serves as part of the LGC’s overall Project Management Team, under the direction of the Executive Director and the LGC Board.

Ms. Warren has extensive experience in event production and has been directly involved in the planning and production of over 85 regional, statewide and national conferences, workshops and trade shows, ranging in size from 25 to over 1,700 participants. The majority of these events have been focused on livable and healthy communities issues. Ms. Warren manages all aspects of planning and production for the LGC’s annual New Partners for Smart Growth: Building Safe, Healthy and Livable Communities Conference series.

Ms. Warren has a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science from California State University, Sacramento.
