Innovative Parking Strategies for the Sacramento Region

This day-long event addressed the challenge local jurisdictions face of providing the right amount
of parking for retail, residential and other uses, in their efforts to create walkable, livable cities
and towns.
Innovative strategies on how to reduce the need for parking while lowering costs were presented
and successful case studies were highlighted. The target audience included retailers, developers,
planners, local policymakers and parking agencies from the six-county Sacramento region.
