This important event focused on strategies to address Orange County's present and future conservation needs — preserving resources for water quality, for parks, and for recreational needs. This conference illustrated successful strategies to address these key issues and potential funding opportunities to assist in meeting consevation needs and making Orange County more livable.

The program included a dynamic mix of keynotes, panels, informational tables and opportunities for participants to network with each other throughout the daylong event. An agenda is available with more details. (Speaker presentations aret available in PDF forma on the agenda.)

Preserving open space is a critical challenge for local agencies in California. To help them meet this challenge, the Institute for Local Government has published Funding Open Space Acquisition Programs: A Guide for Local Agencies in California.
