Leadership Effectiveness Seminars for Latino
Elected Officials
Dates: September 21st (Huntington Park),
November 16 (Azusa), and December 7 (San Fernando), 2002
Neighborhood parks, affordable housing, revitalized neighborhoods
and town centers, walkable communities, a quality transportation
system - Latino voters have expressed a high level of support for
these issues often referred to as "Smart Growth." The seminars provided
Latino elected officials with tools to succesfully address these
concepts in their communities. Experts also provided cutting-edge
techniques and strategies while peers provided case studies of real-life
projects.
