Intro | Agenda
This Year's Topic:
Tthe 16th Annual Building Livable Communities Conference
saw well over 100 Mayors, City Councilmembers, County Supervisors and others attend this year's event.
At this conference, they examined how to overcome stumbling blocks to creating vibrant, walkable communities
and preserving the open space that surrounds them. Attendees talked with experts about how money from
the recent passage of the California bond initiatives might help them achieve the vision of the Ahwahnee
Principles in their communities.
The pre-conference session offered a rare opportunity for a two-hour meeting with the
Governor's appointee in charge of the state's housing policy, Lynn Jacobs. Attendess
had a chance to learn where the housing bond money will be allocated, hear what's up
with the housing allocation process, and more.
Please visit our agenda
page for more details about the sessions and for copies of available presentations
and speaker handouts.
