United Kingdom Puts Energy Labels on All New Homes
The United Kingdom announced that all new homes will carry an
energy label to provide prospective buyers with information on
each home's energy efficiency. This new requirement will become
mandatory on January 1, 2001. Energy ratings will be calculated
using the Standard Assessment Procedure for Energy Rating of Dwellings.
