Wind Maps

New wind resource maps for California are now available on the California Energy Commission’s web site and can also be ordered from the CEC cartography office. For more information, please go to: http://www.energy.ca.gov/maps/wind.html.

EREN Atlas of Western Renewable Energy Resources

The Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Network (EREN) has produced a Renewable Energy Atlas of the West. It profiles wind, solar, geothermal and biomass resources using high-resolution maps. It is available online at http://www.energyatlas.org/.

ICMA Launches Energy/Climate Change Web Site for Local Government Officials

Communities today are exploring new ways to conserve energy, reduce costs and meet tighter budgets,. The International City/County Managers Association (ICMA) has a new web site http://www.USAenergy.org/ that helps local governments cope with its interactive encyclopedia of energy efficiency, renewable energy, and climate change information.
