An Energy Newsletter for Local Governments
Distributed generation (DG) enhances the reliability of the state's electric grid and helps customers manage and stabilize their energy costs. DG also provides businesses with a "hedge" against utility and market prices, enabling them to avoid some of the volatility that has occurred in wholesale markets.
The California Clean DG Coalition and the California Alliance for Distributed Energy Resources (CADER) are joining forces to host an energy conference focused on end-user DG and combined heat and power (CHP) projects on January 26-28, 2004 in San Diego. The Local Government Commission is one of the conference co-hosts.
