Distributed Generation Conference Jan. 26-28
Distributed generation (DG) enhances the reliability of the state's
electric grid and helps customers manage and stabilize their energy
costs. DG also provides businesses with a "hedge" against utility
and market prices, enabling them to avoid some of the volatility
that has occurred in wholesale markets.
The California Clean DG Coalition and the California
Alliance for Distributed Energy Resources (CADER) are joining forces to
host an energy conference focused on end-user DG and combined heat
and power (CHP) projects on January 26-28, 2004 in San Diego. The
Local Government Commission is one of the conference co-hosts.
Among the topics that will be discussed:
- DG and Community Choice Aggregation;
- Cost benefits of DG/CHP;
- Effects of California Air Resources Board (CARB) 2007 DG emissions
standards on DG technology advancement;
- California end-user CHP projects Æ real world projects and
networked communication systems; and
- Wall Street/financial community concerns and issues with DG.
For updated conference and registration information, visit the
CADER website (www.cader.org).
