The California Climate Action Registry 2008 annual spring conference will bring together leading experts from business, government, non-profits and academic communities to discuss the key questions and latest developments related to climate change policy and business strategy.
Hundreds of professionals from around the world attend this unique event that provides a complete understanding of climate change policy currently under development, connects participants with other individuals who are actively engaged in climate issues, and helps organizations to succeed in a carbon-constrained world.
Conference Agenda
The event will open with keynote addresses from provocative individuals in the climate change arena. The opening plenary panel will discuss options for the Post-2012 Carbon World and highlight outcomes from the UN Climate Conference in Bali.
A diverse panel of government officials will discuss their visions for meaningful climate action on a global scale and will be followed by responses from industry in an effort to promote common understanding, different business perspectives and start a dialogue on the future of global carbon policy.
The afternoon will feature two sessions of breakout workshops on today's most significant climate issues. The discussions will follow four different streams:

The morning of Day Two will explore the implications and significance of the upcoming Presidential elections in relation to U.S. carbon policy. The keynote address will be followed by a plenary panel discussing proposed federal regulations and policy developments.
The afternoon will feature one session of breakout workshops on the four different tracks and will be followed by a choice of afternoon workshops or an off-site fieldtrip.

Registration rates include conference materials, admittance to applicable free pre-conference activities and all plenary sessions, breakout and workshop sessions. It also includes breakfast and lunch on both days and an evening cocktail reception.
