CALeep Workbook and Materials Available On-Line

The California Local Energy Efficiency Program (CALeep) was developed by Navigant Consulting, Inc. to help California’s local communities launch successful energy efficiency initiatives and to make major contributions to the State’s energy efficiency goals. The workbook, its appendices, and numerous other resources were prepared and assembled over the past two years. Input was gathered through workshops, pilot projects, research and the collective expertise of individuals from within and outside the program.

The final California Local Energy Efficiency Program (CALeep) Workbook and other valuable resources are now available online. They can be downloaded, at no charge, by visiting the program's website at www.caleep.com.

These materials can help local governments and communities — and those working with them — to overcome the many barriers they face in implementing energy efficiency programs. Whether you're an energy efficiency novice seeking to make significant progress in this area, or someone who already has considerable energy efficiency experience, you'll find that the CALeep Workbook will provide you with recommendations and resources for dealing with a wide range of practical issues.

Recent updates to the CALeep website:

  • A new Technical Addendum to the Workbook
  • An Appendix C that describes each of the six pilot projects
  • Updated results from the six pilot projects
  • Additional links and documents providing energy efficiency resources

CALeep was funded by California utility ratepayers under the auspices of the California Public Utilities Commission. California consumers are not obligated to purchase any full-fee service or other service not funded by this program.
