Climate All Stars Conference: Bay Area Leaders Accelerate Action, September 21, 2007

Learn the best ways to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in your community.

RECEIVE INNOVATIVE TOOLS FOR MOVING INTO ACTION:
Obtain toolkits that will include lessons from Climate All Stars on successful measures for government, business, youth, and community members.

Meet and dialogue with other Bay Area leaders about individual and collective actions.

BE INSPIRED BY NEW POSSIBILITIES:
Accelerate action to align and mobilize Bay Area communities for climate protection.

  • Erik Sten, Commissioner, City of Portland, will present "Lessons from Portland."
  • Mark Ruzzin, Mayor of Boulder, will speak about reducing impacts in the transportation sector, implementing a local carbon tax, and other efforts in Boulder.
  • Annabelle Malins, British Consulate-General, Science and Innovation, will present "Local action in the UK - success stories from British cities and businesses."
  • Fran Pavley, three term California Assembly Member, author of AB 1493 - Clean Car Regulations and AB 32 Global Warming Solutions Act, will help showcase achievements and further commitments.
  • Thomas Hurley will facilitate a process to help us collectively address critical questions and shape the future.
  • May Bouve, national youth leader, will show us how to engage and activate the voice of the future.
