REBATE NEWS:
Over 8,636 systems, representing over 34 megawatts of electric generation capacity, have been installed through the Emerging Renewables Program (ERP) since 1998. Rebate payments total over $135 million since the Programs inception. Average solar system size is 4kW. Demand for rebate funding is high. Regularly updated information is posted on the California Energy Commissions website.
Since January 1, 2004, the rebate levels for the various renewable energy technologies for the Emerging Renewables Program have changed. Please refer to the following table for the current level for the selected renewable technology. Rebate levels will decrease by 20 cents July 1, 2004:
