Energy Efficiency Policy Index

The Alliance to Save Energy's online searchable State Energy Efficiency Policy Index is now live. This comprehensive index will allow you to search easily for energy-efficiency laws in your state, or by policy topic. Access the index at http://energyaction.ase.org/ctt.asp?u=87441&l=107153.

With hundreds of energy efficiency laws documented in the index, this resource evidences how states are leading the way to an energy-efficient future — but the benefits of energy efficiency are far from fully tapped. The Alliance will continually update the index to ensure that information is current, but if you know of policies that are missing, please email us at policyinfo@ase.org.

The index is organized by the following eight policy issues: appliance standards, building codes, greenhouse gas emission cap & trade programs, energy-efficiency funds, public benefits funds, tax incentives, transportation initiatives, and other legislation. The index also allows users to click on an interactive map of the United States to download a full listing of energy-efficiency laws in each state.

California Watershed Assessment Manual

Cover of California Watershed Assessment Manual

The California Watershed Assessment Manual (CWAM) is a comprehensive "how-to" for the process of watershed assessment. Topics include: planning an assessment, developing science-based questions, collecting and analyzing data, integrating information to describe watershed condition, and linking findings to actions in adaptive watershed management. Anyone in planning, engineering, natural & social sciences, water management, and pollution control will find useful information in this Manual.

For your free hard copy, email Project Lead Fraser Shilling at fmshilling@ucdavis.edu or call 530-752-7859. Or go to http://cwam.ucdavis.edu where you can download the Manual or the introductory Guide.
