San Francisco Solar Conference in October

A major solar conference and expo will take place in San Francisco from October 19-22, 2004. This event provides a great opportunity for community leaders to learn about current and upcoming solar policies, financing options, and the technology itself. LGC members can register at the discounted Member/Non-Profit rate.

Mayors, city council members, state legislators, city and state energy program managers, facility managers, and others involved in decisions regarding energy usage and policy are invited to attend.

Conference sessions - October 19-21. Those who attend the full conference will learn about solar policies, technology trends, and financing tools, and enjoy all of the events listed below for Thursday.

Special one-day offer - Thursday, October 21. For those who are unable to attend the full conference, Thursday provides an excellent opportunity to learn the essentials.

  • Morning plenary - Hear three important yet very different perspectives on the value of solar from: the CEO of a major solar manufacturer, a senior utility executive, and a celebrity who has solar on their own home.
  • Commercial and public installations workshop - Participate in a 2-hour workshop with facility managers and senior executives of organizations that have installed solar on their facility(s). Organizations invited to speak to you include U.S. Coast Guard, Norman Glick Middle School, the Oroville Region Sewage Commission (Butte County), St. Francis Winery and Vineyards, Neutrogena, and Mt. Tam Racquet Club. You will learn why they chose to put solar on their facility, how it has benefited their organization, and what their advice is to you.
  • CEO's panel - Hear from the CEO's of a selection of large solar manufacturers and distributors. Find out where they see the future of solar technologies.
  • Expo - Enjoy a free lunch while visiting with more than 60 companies that manufacturer, sell and install solar.
