Update On Local Government/Utility Energy Efficiency
Partnerships
Local government partnerships with utilities on energy efficiency programs are getting
underway in September. From San Diego in the south to Humboldt County in the north and
east to Fresno, the investor owned utilities (SDG&E, Edison, The Gas Company, and PG&E)
have developed partnership programs working with local governments to improve the efficiency
of their communities. The IOUs also have partnership programs with the UC/CSU system, community
colleges, and prisons.
