Build It Green Home Tour In Santa

Don’t miss the first Build It Green Home Tour Santa Clara County! On
Sunday, October 1st, from 10:00 am – 5:00 pm, eleven homeowners will open their doors
for the Build It Green Home Tour.
The one-day tour will introduce attendees to homeowners and building professionals who
have built or remodeled green. The tour covers the spectrum, from remodels to brand new
custom homes, and will demonstrate materials and technologies such as FSC Certified wood
products, natural linoleum flooring, radiant floor heating, passive solar design, and natural
daylighting.
A guidebook is required for admission and costs $15/person. You may purchase guidebooks
now online at http://www.builditgreen.org/ or
at local retail locations beginning on September 1, 2006 (check website for retail locations).
Guidebooks will also be sold at the Solar & Green Building Fair at DeAnza College
Kirsch Center for Environmental Studies on tour day (October 1st) from 9:00 am – 2:00
pm (as supplies last).
As part of the home tour, green building workshops will be offered throughout the fall
including Green Building 101, Remodeling One Green Room at a Time…and more.
