An Energy Newsletter for Local Governments
The Energy Policy Initiatives Center (EPIC), a nonprofit academic and research center at the University of San Diego School of Law, announced the launch of its new Web site. The site, which can be viewed at http://www.sandiego.edu/epic, is designed to be a comprehensive resource for consumers, energy professionals and public officials seeking information and expert analysis of energy policy issues that impact the San Diego region and California.
Site users will find summaries of energy proceedings at the California Public Utilities Commission and other regulatory agencies as well as up-to-date listings of active energy legislation. In addition, visitors can find information about EPIC’s academic program (including details about its Energy Law and Policy course), summaries of EPIC’s ongoing research projects and copies of EPIC’s publications and presentations.
“This Web site reflects our mission to educate the public and public officials about energy law and policy issues,” said EPIC director, Scott Anders. “With information that will be useful to the media, elected officials, energy professionals, the business community, public agencies and lawmakers, we expect the site to become a valuable resource for those who would like to learn more about energy policy issues facing California and the San Diego region.”
“This site will be a useful tool for students and professionals alike. It has a wealth of up-to-date information about topical energy policy issues,” said Kevin Cole, dean of the University of San Diego School of Law. “EPIC’s website is a great example of how the School of Law is reaching out beyond our classrooms to educate a wide array of stakeholders.”
