Local Government Forum, Networking and Webinars

Annual Forum

The Local Government Commission will be convening an annual statewide conference on energy efficiency best practices over the next three years. The first statewide conference will take place October 13th and 14th at the Burbank Airport Marriott Hotel. There will be a statewide partners meeting on the afternoon of the 13th followed by a no-host reception for all conference attendees. The main conference will take place on the 14th. The day-long program will feature topics including:

  • State Programs and Regulations that Affect Local Governments,
  • Funding For Energy Programs and Climate Action Plans,
  • Energy Saving Programs
  • Climate Action Planning
  • Green Jobs Through Energy Efficiency Programs
  • Putting Together Residential Retrofit Programs

This conference is offered free of charge to all California local governments.*  Online registration and additional details on the agenda and invited speakers will be available in mid-August.

Local Government Partnership Networking Meetings

LGC is working with the investor owned utilities to conduct Regional Local Government Partnership Networking Meetings for local government partners to network with each other, and provide peer support. Pacific Gas and Electric will be holding its Local Government Partnerships Meeting on Monday, July 20th from 10:00 AM – 3:15 in San Ramon. San Diego Gas and Electric has quarterly partner meetings, their next meeting will be on August 31st in Chula Vista. Southern California Edison and Southern California Gas Company held their partner meeting on June 14th. More information.

LGC will also be offering webinars on various topics.
