Sustainable Skylines Conference March 9-11, 2009

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) Sustainable Skylines Initiative (SSI), in partnership with the City of Dallas, the North Central Texas Council of Governments (NCTCOG) and private sector organizations, is presenting the Sustainable Communities Conference to be held on March 9 - 11, 2009 in Dallas, Texas.

Dallas Mayor Tom Leppert will be on hand to deliver the official Welcome Address as the mayor of the EPA's first pilot city for the SSI program. This exciting and informative meeting will address the issues and discuss the challenges of urban/suburban sustainability planning and management in America.

On the morning of March 11, a federal agency panel will discuss available grants, including the latest information about the national stimulus package. Then there will be an "Eco-Cafe" (aka "sustainable speed dating") where you will have an opportunity to visit with a wide variety of government, private sector and non-governmental organization partners from around the country to find a match for your technical and funding needs.
