Energy Aware Facility Siting and Permitting Guide Available

The final "Energy Aware Facility Siting and Permitting Guide" is available at: energy.ca.gov/energy_aware_guide/siting.html. Publication is limited to the electronic version; the Energy Commission will not be publishing hard copies. This is a revised version of the guide that was originally published in the 1990s.

The Guide, prepared by Aspen Environmental Group, assists local governments with developing general plan energy and transmission planning elements and provides guidance for land-based utility-scale electricity generation and transmission siting, permitting and environmental reviews throughout California.
