joined legions in hailing the City of Reedley as visionary, awarding
Reedley first place \ in the Focused Issue Planning Area for its
Specific Plan
As the blueprint for all new development in the
City, the Specific Plan will implement Reedley’s vision of
attractive, pedestrian-friendly development that also preserves
farmland through moderate increases in density. By encouraging front
porches, minimizing the visual presence of garages, and requiring
tree-lined streets with sidewalks and parkways, the City seeks developments
with enduring quality that will encourage interaction among neighbors.
