Great Valley Center
The Great Valley Centers sixth annual conference
is fast approaching! The theme of this years conference is
Creating Better Futures, referring to both the increasing
importance of the region in Californias future and encouraging
Valley residents to consider the challenges of the future and how
best to address them.
The conference will be held from May 14-15, 2003 at the Radisson
Hotel in Sacramento, California. The conference is Californias
largest annual gathering focused on the Central Valley. The Great
Valley Center expects more than 800 business, community, and government
leaders from throughout the region to attend.

Local Government Commission
The LGCs Planning
and Building More Livable Communities conference
will be held June 27 - 28, 2003 at the U.S. Grant Hotel in San Diego,
California.
The conference will bring together the increasingly diverse groups
for planning and building more livable communities. It will examine
the barriers to working together and determine how to overcome them.
Inspirational local projects will be featured, and project implementers
will tell how they did it.
Public and private sector leaders interested in joining together
their diverse interests to assure the economic vitality, health,
safety, and livability of California communities are invited to
attend. It's a hands-on, how-to-do it conference be prepared
to roll up your sleeves! Online registration will be available beginning
April 7.
