Emily Finnegan is excited to return to LGC as a Project Associate for the Water program. Her primary focus is to increase local government engagement of under-resourced and underrepresented communities in regional water planning efforts for the Solano subbasin and Santa Ana watershed.
In 2016-2017, Emily served as an LGC Project Associate to oversee the CivicSpark Water AmeriCorps Fellowship and support Fellows’ training and the implementation of statewide integrated watershed management projects. Her diverse experiences on the local, state, and international levels include supporting teachers in limited-resource communities to access professional development training, designing and delivering global citizenship training for youth education programs in South America, and leading groups of volunteers in wildfire recovery and watershed restoration projects in the Eastern Sierras of California.
Emily received her B.A. in Political Science and Globalization Studies from the University at Albany, State University of New York.
