CivicSpark Regional Coordinator
Angeline Foshay is a Regional Coordinator for the new California Climate Action Corps program. She joins us from Clean Coalition, where she served as a Program Associate coordinating community outreach and energy resilience projects along the south Central Coast. She previously served as a CivicSpark Fellow from 2018-19 at the City of Goleta, where she helped develop their Strategic Energy Plan, building a pathway for the City to reach 100% renewable electricity by 2030. In addition to her work developing energy resilience and renewable energy policy along the Central Coast, Angeline is an active advocate in the region for affordable housing and worked with local nonprofits in facilitating economic redevelopment in Santa Barbara following the Thomas Fire in 2017. She graduated in 2017 from UC Santa Barbara with high honors, double majoring in Environmental Studies and Global Studies. While in school, she interned with UCSB Sustainability and the Environmental & Energy Study Institute in Washington D.C.
Angeline is passionate about equitable community development, distributed energy policy, and implementing community-driven climate solutions. When she’s not envisioning a Green New Deal, she’s hiking the Los Padres National Forest, planning backpacking trips in the Sierras, and working at her family’s ranch in Paso Robles.
